Event support and management team
Are you 14 to 19 years old? Are you interested in supporting your local community? Would you like to design, run and support events? If so join Community Kings & Queens. We empower young people to develop entrepreneurial, employment and leadership skills through event support and management. Check out some of the events we’ve attended in our image gallery below.
Football Sessions
Are you 11 to 16 years old? Every Saturday 10.30am to 12pm @ Canons High School Football Club. Available to boys and girls of all abilities. Come along and enjoy football training, skills building and friendly matches. Starting back on 13th January 2024.
Basketball Sessions
Are you 10 to 18 years old? Every Saturday 2 to 4pm @ Willesden Sports Centre receive professional coaching from England international basketball star Mike Martin. Available to boys and girls of all abilities. Young people can learn to play and increase their basketball skills, whilst having plenty fun.

The 100 Black Men of London Careers Fair

Zest of Mind was proud to support the 100 Black Men of London in delivering a life-changing Careers Fair designed to open doors, spark ambition, and provide invaluable career insights for young people aged 9-16. 💡✨
With an incredible line-up of professionals—doctors, pilots, engineers, business leaders, educators, chefs, and more—attendees gained first-hand exposure to a world of career possibilities. 🏥✈️📚💼🍽️
From speed networking to interactive workshops, mock interviews, and inspirational guest speakers, the event was packed with powerful moments to equip young people with the confidence and knowledge to dream big and achieve more! 🚀🙌
Wellbeing Warriors in Training – Pottery making in Kensington

Our Wellbeing Warriors were getting hands-on with pottery, exploring art as a tool for mindfulness and self-expression. Each creation is a reflection of the joy and calm that comes from working with our hands – a wellbeing strategy they can’t wait to share with their peers!

HAF Basketball Winter Camp

We broke records with 45 young people joining us for an unforgettable camp of sports, learning, and fun! 🎉 From building basketball skills to boosting fitness, every participant brought their energy and enthusiasm to the court.
🍎 Healthy lunches and snacks kept everyone fuelled for action, and the smiles, teamwork, and growth we witnessed were truly inspiring. 💪❤️

🎅🎁 Santa Came Bearing Gifts, Thanks to Raheem Sterling! 🎁🎅
Our Community Christmas Lunch on December 22nd 2024 was extra special for the young people of Brent! With generous support from Raheem Sterling himself, Santa brought boxes of brand-new shoes for our young attendees—helping them step into the New Year with confidence and style. 👟✨
Though Raheem couldn’t join us in person, his spirit of giving was truly felt. The kids’ smiles and the heartfelt gratitude from parents said it all. 💛
Our Wellbeing Warriors were also on hand, sharing winter wellbeing advice and collecting valuable insights about the community’s wellbeing knowledge and lifestyle. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier Brent! 🌟
A massive thank you to @sterling7 and @raheemsterlingfoundation for this incredible act of kindness and to everyone who made the day unforgettable. Let’s keep spreading joy and hope!

As part of London Youth’s Sports Leadership Academy, our young people had the incredible opportunity to visit Marathon House, where they met the amazing teams behind one of London’s biggest events—the London Marathon! 🎉
From Event Planning to Marketing and People & Culture, they gained valuable insights into what it takes to deliver such a massive event. But the learning didn’t stop there! Some of our young leaders hit the ground running 🏃♂️💨 in the team’s weekly 5K Handicap, while others took on the crucial role of cheerleaders, showing that support is just as powerful as participation. 🙌
The grand finale? 🚀 Our young people pitched their own campaign ideas to inspire more young adults to get active! Their creativity and professionalism blew the London Marathon Foundation team away! 👏✨
Podcasting at Launch It Neasden

Today, our young people took part in an exciting podcasting and content creation workshop at YDN’s Launch It venue! 🎥🎤 They dived into the world of camera work, editing, presenting, and storytelling, gaining valuable skills to bring their creative ideas to life.
This hands-on experience, provided by YDN – Youth Digital Network, a product of UKUnsigned, gave them a platform to develop their confidence, teamwork, and digital media skills. It was amazing to see their enthusiasm as they learned the art of content creation – from behind-the-scenes production to being in front of the camera!
We’re so proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see where these new skills take them! Stay tuned for more from our talented young creators. 🎬✨

Our young people unlocked their potential at an inspiring event delivered by London Youth at Chelsea Football Club 🏟️⚽
From networking with top industry professionals—content creators, designers, coaches, and health specialists—to attending insightful workshops, our young people gained real-world knowledge and valuable connections. 🌟
The day was packed with highlights: a behind-the-scenes stadium tour, delivering their own talks on stage 🎤, and meeting like-minded young people from other organisations. A truly unforgettable experience!
